Booking Conditions


2. BOOKING AND PAYING FOR YOUR HOLIDAY

2.1 BOOKING: Once you have chosen your holiday you can book either through your travel agent or directly with us. When we know your exact requirements and have checked that the flights are available we will ask you to complete and sign a booking form. If a form is not available, you will be asked to agree to these Booking Conditions as legal terms and conditions upon which we sell our holidays. The person signing the booking form or otherwise booking the holiday by verbal instruction and payment, confirms to us that he/she has the authority of all persons included in the holiday to make the booking on their behalf. In parties of two or more persons the person who makes the booking accepts responsibility of making all payments to us for all members of the party and will receive from us all the documents and other information on behalf of their party. You will also be asked about how you wish to pay. Once this is all agreed we will give you a verbal confirmation. At that point the contract between us comes into existence. You will be sent a confirmation invoice in due course.

This contract is made on the terms of these booking conditions, which are governed by English Law, and the jurisdiction of the English Courts. You may however, choose the law and jurisdiction of Scotland or Northern Ireland if you wish to do so.

2.2 PAYING YOUR DEPOSIT: In order to confirm your booking you must PAY a non-refundable deposit of at least L100 per adult and child, or higher in case of having to add full payment of certain low-cost air fares or special Villa or Yacht charter bookings. No deposit is required against an infant booking (a child under the age of 2 years on the date of return travel). Deposits will be accepted in the form of cash, cheque or debit/credit card payment. Please allow five working days for cheque payments to clear and be aware that we will not be in a position to confirm arrangements as definite until we have received cleared funds.

2.2 BALANCE PAYMENTS: The full balance payment of your holiday is due eight (8) weeks prior to departure. If we have not received cleared funds to cover the balance of your holiday by this time we reserve the right to cancel your booking without refund and you will also be liable to pay any cancellation charges incurred as set out in paragraph 3. Bond Tours reserve the right to levy bank charges incurred for the use of credit cards.

2.3 BOOKINGS MADE WITHIN EIGHT WEEKS OF DEPARTURE: Bookings made within eight (8) weeks of departure are subject to full payment at the time of confirmation.

2.4 PAYMENT TO TRAVEL AGENTS: Any monies paid by you to a travel agent are held on our behalf as the ATOL holder and therefore are immediately protected by the ATOL.

2.5 SURCHARGES: The price of your holiday is based on the cost of airfares and hotel prices known to us at the time this brochure went to print. These costs may vary considerably between publishing the brochure and when you take your holiday. As a result, the price of your holiday is subject to surcharge on the following items: government action, currency, aircraft fuel, overlaying charges, airport charges and increases in scheduled air fares. Even in this case we will absorb an amount equivalent to 2% of the holiday price which excludes insurance premiums and amendment charges. Only amounts in excess of this 2% will be surcharged. If this means payment more than 10% on the holiday price, you will be entitled to cancel your holiday with a full refund of all money paid except for any premium paid to us for holiday insurance and amendment charges. Should you decide to cancel because of this, you must exercise your right to do so within 14 days from the issue date printed on the invoice. You should do so by informing your travel agent in writing or by sending us a recorded delivery letter. In all cases we will only accept a cancellation signed by the person who made the booking originally-lead name which appears on the invoice. We will not surcharge you within 30 days of departure. Because of the financial risk we take in giving you this guarantee we will not make any refunds if costs come down or the costs of currency is less than expected.
